In 2005, Indian pilot & business magnate, Mr. Vijaypat Singhania achieved the world hot-air balloon altitude record in his huge Cameron Z-Type. Vijay set the mark at a fraction below 70,000 feet over Mumbai with the Cameron Balloons 1,600,000cu ft envelope and a specially-designed capsule.

Cameron Balloons Ltd has been at the forefront of this type of technology and advice on many special projects, so if you have a record or achievement you want to set or achieve, we can help.

Pushing boundaries

Vijaypat Singhania’s envelope was crafted out of a special nylon fabric, approximately one-third the thickness of a standard national Sari dress, and when inflated it stood higher than a 20-storey building

What better man to go to than Don Cameron, who is an institution in balloons - both making (them) and the records he has to his credit. I don't think there was anybody better than him to make it
