Cameron Balloons' new Russian representative
Welcome to our NEW Cameron Balloons Dealer in Russia, Ivan Menyaylo.
by Hannah Cameron
Ivan Menyaylo started ballooning in 2004 with Yuri Taran and the following year qualified as a balloon pilot, shortly after that he got his commercial balloon licence and started his business ‘Aerowaltz Company’ to fly tourists and local people over the outskirts and countryside of Moscow.
Within the first five years of business while working flying passengers Yuri also studied to become a balloon flight instructor and now can claim that many of newly qualified pilots all over Russia have been helped on the way with Ivan’s instruction.
Latterly, Ivan has been involved, not only with fun balloon sporting events but also in National and International competitions both on the competitive side (where he won in 2012 and has been placed in every event since) but on the organisational side.
Ivan is committed to ballooning and is even part of the national governing body of ballooning in Russia, known as The Balloon Federation of Russia and during 2014 was appointed vice-president for this important organisation.
Ivan explains ‘Ballooning is my hobby, job, business and lifestyle. At the moment I can't imagine my life without lighter-than-air flights. I still want to fly as much as I can and I am very open to any interesting balloon project!’
Nick Purvis of Cameron Balloons explains that Ivan is an experienced, goal-orientated, successful pilot who is totally passionate about ballooning and we are delighted to have on board as part of our Cameron ‘Family’.
Welcome from all of us, Ivan!
