Cameron Fabric Engineering manufactured for artist Amie Slavin an inflated structure designed to reflect her recorded sounds, incorporating 48 speakers to totally immerse visitors in the music as they walk through the series of connected air-inflated arches, the spiral is designed to channel sound so that it “Dynamically represents Creation – from DNA to the formation of the galaxies”.
Amie says, “My aim is to stimulate an absorption in, and appreciation of, the many and various ways in which sound can be used to represent and illuminate ideas, issues and voices. I hope to make my audience laugh, cry and think, through their ears (so to speak)”.
